Bali Trip Day 4

Happy Independent Day to Malaysia! :)

Let us continue my blog from goo.gl/zVYKL

Day 4 is our beach day.
We got excited in the morning and Kassie were busying applied Lotion on her body to avoid getting darker.. Hehehe..

Bali trip Day 4
Same as the day before, we got up around 10AM in the morning and had our breakfast at balcony again. I ordered porridge and the galfren ordered fried rice. \
I had my favourite watermelon juice with me, too!

Bali trip Day 4
Our beach day costume together with our breakfast!

Our first destination was Turtle Island for snorkeling / glass bottom boat and animal watching.
We didn't went for snorkeling and went to glass bottom boat and animal watching instead.

Glass Bottom Boat is nothing special for me, it just a normal boat with a small glass at the bottom.
Fishes were less than expected, and water was not as clear also.

_MG_4653
But since we're here, might as well take part on some activities lor.. haha!

_MG_4625
The glass bottom boat sent us to the Turtle Island for some animal watching.
There were some entrance fees to be paid too. But i couldn't remember the exactly pricing.
Not very expensive though..

Bali trip Day 4
There were Eagle / Sea Turtle / Birds and etc.
You can actually take photos with these animals.

Bali trip Day 4
Next stop, we went to Padang-Padang Beach.
There were some surfing cup by Ripcurl!
It's a relaxing place, a lot of foreigner enjoy sunlight there! :)

Bali trip Day 4
Uluwatu Temple, where it has a quite nice scenery along the beach.
If can, i would suggest to spend an evening there to capture evening / sunset shot.
We wouldn't stay there for sunset coz we'd limited of time.

Bali trip Day 4
Besides of the scenery, i don't think it's worth for temple viewing since they doesn't allow tourist to go into the temple.

Blue Point, Bali Indonesia
We went to Blue Point for a visit after Uluwatu. It's really nice scenery there!
They have a lot of cafes there and you can sit there and enjoy the scenery.

Initially our purpose to Blue Point was to take photo with the famous Glass Church there.
But we wouldn't find it, anyone know where's the exactly location?
Is it in the hotel area which we need to pay / stay for the visit?

Bali trip Day 4
After that, we spent our evening at Jimbaran beach for seafood dinner with the sunset.

Bali trip Day 4
The sunset was pretty quick and the view is very nice!
Very romantic feeling along the beach.

Bali trip Day 4
We had our dinner at Ganesha Restaurant for the price less than RM200.
Recommended by my driver, Arief. But the food is so-so..
Prawn was awesome, but fish is kind poorly done.

Initially we want to visit Lia Cafe, as well recommended from Lowyat Forumer for cheap price.
But sadly our driver doesn't know about Lia Cafe.

Bali trip Day 4
We had our last night in Aria Exclusive Villa, Seminyak.
It's an real awesome villas with luxury facilities. We had our private pool too!
The price per night is around $250.

But there's one down point for this villa, the road to reach this villa from the town is poor!
Besides of this, i really couldn't think of any complaint for this villa..
It's the best of my life so far!

Bali trip Day 4
The room area.

Bali trip Day 4
The toilet, equipped with outdoor shower area, gazebo and etc.
I love the jungle feeling design, which made me feel so comfortable.

Bali trip Day 4
In the end, we both agreed that we should spend another relaxing day in this villa without visiting any other place in Bali. This villa is just too nice to stay!

Bali, Indonesia Day 3

Continue from my previous post about Day 1 & 2 in Bali: goo.gl/IOyaL

Since we planned for a pretty relaxing trip, we woke up slightly later at 9smth.
Barong Resort & Spa did a good job for customer staying, to be honest.
I love how the feeling waking up in an environment with fresh & cool air. :)

Bali Trip Day 3
We decided to have our breakfast in the balcony, so the galfriend called reception and ordered for breakfast.
I had American breakfast & she had porridge.

Supposed to have a full body Spa treatment in Venezia Spa at 10am,
but we were feeling lazy to do it again since we just did in Modena Day Spa the day before.
Ended up we spent the morning with a little bit of city walk around the resort area.

Bali Trip Day 3
Arief fetch us at 12pm and we had our lunch at Babi Guling Ibu Oka, Ubud.
The main shop was fulled with people and we had our lunch at the owner house.

Bali Trip Day 3
Their business is too good until 3 branches at the area.
Food was ok, not that delicious as what i thought earlier.

Bali Trip Day 3
We then visited the Royale Temple, Ubud which is just located near to Babi Guling Ibu Oka.

Bali Trip Day 3
We spent around 30 minutes and left. Spent some time to shop at the market beside the temple.
Next, we moved to Tanah lot for the magical sunset view!

However, we had a few hours shopping at Geneva Handcraft Wholesale Market on the way to Tanah Lot.
If you intend to buy some souvenirs for your friends and relatives, you should just buy it here.
The price is okay and you don't need to negotiate since the price if fixed and low price.

Another sunset at Tanah Lot, Bali Indonesia
The view for the sunset was awesome at Tanah Lot, indeed.
This location caught my attention when i first step here.
The time was around 5PM++. I was lucky enough to spot this location where there were nobody standing there! ^_^

Bali Trip Day 3
Me and Kassie! Hehe.. Thanks to my cheapo tripod that i bought there..

Sunset at Tanah Lot, Bali Indonesia
This is the classical sunset shot of Tanah Lot, which made up my day! :)

Bali Trip Day 3
I think quite a number of tourist took photo with this flag, so i followed :P

The sunset view was awesome and this is a must go place in Bali! Hehe..

Bali Trip Day 3
This is the restaurant we had our dinner after sunset view, The Naughty Nuri's Warung!
THIS PLACE IS A MUST for pork rib lover!!!

Bali Trip Day 3
They have a very unique decoration inside and most important the pork rib is soooo delicious!

Which made me think of my favourite Pork Rib from Hurricane's Grill, Sydney which i had it last year! T_T

This is must try when you're in Bali! It's perfect when you eat it while drinking with the famous Bintang Beer! :)

Bali, Indonesia Day 1 & 2

Hey guys, I just got back from Bali, Indonesia early August'12!
It was an awesome trip with the galfren.. Hehe
I've been hearing a lot of friends visiting Bali for the past two years and now finally it's my turn to go! :)
So, me and the galfriend quickly grab two person return tickets from Airasia during the promotion period a year ago!

Our flight was 3.45pm, 31st July and we hired a private taxi to Airport from Muar.
Luckily our AK1364 has no delay and our trip goes smoothly :)

Bali Trip Day 1
Our flight, AK1364 to Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Took this shot while going to the toilet hehehe..

Bali Trip Day 1
We pre-booked the Nasi Lemak too! So delicious.. haha!

Bali Trip Day 1
One thing i like about the evening flight was the awesome cloud view around sunset time.
This was taken around 6PM near Bali already.

Bali Trip Day 1
First we met up our tour guide / driver that i hired from Facebook, Arief.
He's a friendly guy with a Suzuki APV vehicle to fetch me, and we had our late dinner at Malioboro near to the Airport. It famous with the pressurized cooked chicken! Taste was not bad!

Bali Trip Day 1
Me and Kassie took in the restaurant! :)

Bali Trip Day 1
Then we checked in our resort at Kuta, the main town which is around 20-30 minutes from Airport.
I booked it through Agoda.com for $90+-.

Bali Trip Day 1
The appearance of our room.
This resort is decorated as typical Bali style with a lot of trees/plants.
Feeling fresh there! Most important is, it isn't expensive! :P

But there's a thing i don't like. It doesn't provide free Wi-Fi.

Bali Trip Day 1
The decoration of my room. Pre-honeymoon decoration! :)
On the night, we took a quick walk around Kuta beach area and had a visit to Hardrock cafe area before we headed to sleep!

Here ends my day 1.

Bali Trip Day 2
We had the breakfast early in the morning at the nicely decorated restaurant which is located just next to the road.

Bali Trip Day 2
We checked out the Ramayana Resort and Spa and start our journey in Bali!

Bali Trip Day 2
First we visited the Goa Gajah which is on the way to Kintamani.
Nothing special here for me, just a cave where the old king used to stay here.

Reminder, if there's someone approached you to intro the history, you might just reject if you duwan to.
We thought it was the worker there to intro us. He charged me for RM20 after he knew that we were came from Malaysia. But i only had RM10 with me at the time and he just took it :P

Bali Trip Day 2
Next we went to Tirtha Empul Temple. It was a Hindu temple that famous with the Holy water that local people used to bath for purification.

Bali Trip Day 2
And here, the place where the locals used to bath for the purification :)

Bali Trip Day 2
Third destination of us, was the Kintamani to have a great awesome view for the mountain!

Mount Agung, Kintamani Indonesia
My first HDR in Bali trip. Too bad the cloud blocked the peak of my Mount Agong! :(

Bali Trip Day 2
We had our second night in Barong Resort & Spa, Ubud.
Ubud is a very peaceful place with a very nice environment.
The cost here was $150 per night. A very nice place, really. :)

Oh ya, we had our first spa in Modena Day Spa & Salon which is just walking distance from our resort.

Bali Trip Day 2
And we end our Day 2 with dinner at the famous Bebek Bengil, Dirty Duck Diner! :)

My Canon EOS 7D

I've been wanted a new dSLR to replace my old Canon 400D that i've sold last year.

If you've been followed me quite some time, probably you know that i lost my iPad during my Australia trip in August'11. So, i can't leave without the iPad and i took the 400D money to buy another iPad2.

Ever since then, i've been taking pictures with my dad's Canon EOS550D.
Until now, i've save up some money to purchased another new camera for myself.

For camera body, i'd prefer to get an used set rather than new one since the 2nd hand price will drop kinda lots. Of course, you must say why don't get a used Canon 5D Mark II that everyone have been dreamt of? That's definitely in my mind to upgrade full frame but all the deals i found was RM5k above for an used set.

I decided to stick with crop factor camera and found this deal in forum. The used 7D.

Canon EOS 7D
The box, nope i didn't purchased together with the 15-85mm IS USM kit.
Only the sexy body.

Canon EOS 7D
The owner actually well taken care of this camera,  not a single scratch on the body.
Only some small scratch on the straps holder. Hehe..

Canon EOS 7D
First time there's a details screen on my dSLR. There were none on my 400D/550D.

Canon EOS 7D
And this deal came together with a third party Phottix battery grip.
This is not a must for me actually since this battery grip added some weight on my body.
It will be crazy if i paired my newly 7D + Battery Grip + 24-70L + Nissin Di622.

This is another experience in my photography journey.
Like I posted in my twitter earlier today, 'You may get a crazy gears with money, but you can't buy skills'.
I hope my photography skills able to go into another level and can do some part time money. Hehehe..
